Suzuki XL7
Suzuki XL7
Suzuki XL7
The Suzuki XL-7 is a 4-door, up to 7-passenger sport-utility, available in 6 trims, ranging from the Base 2WD to the Premium 3-Row 4WD.

Upon introduction, the Base 2WD is equipped with a standard 2.7-liter, V6, 185-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. The Premium 3-Row 4WD is equipped with a standard 2.7-liter, V6, 185-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.
Suzuki Reno
Suzuki Reno
Suzuki Reno
Though affordable, the 2007 Suzuki Reno's unrefined nature puts it near the bottom of the list of subcompact hatchbacks.
Suzuki Forenza
Suzuki Forenza
Suzuki Forenza
Suzuki Forenza has a generous features list, roomy interior and low price. Unfortunately, the driving experience falls short of everything else in the economy-car class.
Suzuki Aerio
Suzuki Aerio
Suzuki Aerio
Suzuki Aerio sedan may suit value-conscious buyers in harsher climates -- in both Base and Premium trim, it's among the most affordable new all-wheel-drive cars on the market. However, its aging design and decided lack of refinement can't be overlooked. There are simply better choices for an affordable small sedan.
Suzuki SX4
Suzuki SX4
Suzuki SX4
With all-wheel drive, plenty of features and a roomy cabin, the 2007 Suzuki SX4 is the best small Suzuki to come out in recent memory. For buyers who need an inexpensive all-weather vehicle, this hatchback is worth a look.
It replaces last year's Aerio SX hatchback and features a standard all-wheel-drive system and a powerful four-cylinder engine.
Suzuki Grand Vitara
Suzuki Grand Vitara
Suzuki Grand Vitara
The Suzuki Grand Vitara was fully redesigned last year. For 2007, it remains unchanged other than the addition of a trip computer and a tire-pressure monitor.
Suzuki Wagon R +
Suzuki Wagon R +
Suzuki Wagon R +
Co-developed in association with General Motors, this Hungarian built compact car has, in its previous form, consistently been a best seller in its native Japan. The much improved all-new model still features the slab-sided styling of its predecessor but the sharp ungainly edges have now been smoothed off improving the looks of the Wagon R+ dramatically. Those slab sides do, however, serve a purpose - maximising interior space. Ideal as an urban runabout the Wagon R+ is still presently only available in GL specification. That offers power steering, electric front windows, central locking and coloured bumpers as standard.

Despite its diminutive proportions, the Wagon R+ is a surprisingly roomy little vehicle with lots of space front and rear, and a useful boot too. Should you need more space though, the seats can be folded, giving the Wagon R+ van-like carrying capacity. Using a compact and light 1.3 litre, fuel-injected four-cylinder producing 56kW the Wagon R+ can be specified with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed electronically controlled automatic.
Suzuki Jimny
Suzuki Jimny
Suzuki Jimny
This rather oddball offering from Suzuki looks to attract buyers that are sold on the rugged looks of an off-roader but need the compact dimensions and manoeuvrability of a city car. It's a good idea too, the additional height offering a clearer view over the traffic than the majority of urban runabouts. There's a user-friendly feel to the controls, the clutch is easy, the gearchange smooth and the brake pedal progressive. Only the fidgety ride lets it down.

The 1.3-litre, 16-valve engine takes some winding up to get the best results and then, unfortunately, it becomes irritatingly coarse at high revs. Four adults can be carried on short journeys provided they don't have any baggage. The Jimny is an ambitious attempt by Suzuki to produce a unique type of city car, but it has some obvious failings. The value of its off-road ability is questionable, and rivals like Ford's Ka can do everything else better. The soft-top version adds to the appeal of the Jimny and unusually doesn't cost any more than the closed alternative.
Suzuki Liana
Suzuki Liana
Suzuki Liana
It's a brave manufacturer that enters the fiercely competitive family hatchback these days. In an attempt to differentiate its latest offering from the likes of the Ford Focus and Peugeot 307, Suzuki has taken a slightly different approach to the segment. The Liana, which stands for Life In A New Age, may have an odd name but it's clear that Suzuki has had a good look at what customers are now looking for in this market. The hatchback is very spacious - its styling blurring the boundaries between an estate, MPV and conventional hatchback. There's a saloon version too - but it loses some of the hatchback's practicality. Inside both there's plenty of space, front and rear, with that boot swallowing even the biggest weekly shopping trip.

Engine choice, there isn't really any, it's a 101bhp 1.6-litre petrol or nothing at the moment. Lacking in low down torque it struggles for pace on inclines, but on the motorway it proves quiet and refined. Specification is suitably high, in either GL or GLX, the latter being particularly generous. Inside the cabin gives a quality feel that is new to the Japanese manufacturer. Competitive pricing is bound to attract buyers, practicality too is sure to be a draw, Suzuki's contender should prove to be more than just another also-ran in the race to tempt customers from the more established competition.
Suzuki Ignis
Suzuki Ignis
Suzuki Ignis
The Ignis is one of those forgotten cars, which only registers on the radar of a tiny number of buyers in the UK. That's a shame as it's a very credible package in the sub-supermini market. Its styling might fall into the forgettable category, but its rather boxy, utilitarian looks allow the Ignis to offer a surprising amount of interior space; it being one of only a handful of such diminutively proportioned cars to offer genuinely comfortable seating for four adults. Heavily revised mid-2003 the Ignis is now an even more tempting proposition. The updated interior is smarter, Suzuki raiding GM's parts bin to good effect with built in stereo controls, hooded instruments and better quality plastics.
The driving experience might lack the zest of some of its rivals, the gearbox offering a rather vague and notchy shift but the ride is adequate and the engine eager. Around town, the Suzuki's natural habitat, the high driving position gives a good view of the road ahead, while the 1.3-litre engine is always ready to exploit a gap in the traffic. A larger 1.5-litre is offered too, with an automatic transmission or four-wheel-drive, but unless you desperately need an auto or live up a farm track then the 1.3 is perfectly capable. The interior might not offer the flexibility of some rivals, but few of them can offer the space and excellent value of the Suzuki. For families on a budget looking for a spacious, comfortable and able car then the Ignis fits the bill surprisingly well, now all Suzuki needs to do is raise the public's awareness to its existence.
Suzuki Swift
Suzuki Swift
Suzuki Swift
The 2001 Suzuki Swift remains mechanically unchanged. Suzuki has changed the exterior color options slightly: Bright White and Platinum Silver Metallic replace Polar White and Mercury Silver Metallic.

uzuki claims its 2005 Swift is more enjoyable to drive any rival, so this funky newcomer has a lot to live up to. The two petrol engines sound feisty on paper and the Swift was designed with European drivers most in mind. There's no mistaking the intent of the 1.5. Use the revs to the full and the rorty soundtrack from the engine means business. 100bhp isn't that much in world of hot superminis, but it is certainly sufficient to give this Swift some real brio. Half the fun comes from using the gearbox to extracting the best possible performance from the engine, and the rewards are great when you do.
